Hi, I’m a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist working at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust Hospital. I’m the clinical lead for Neuropsychology input for acute neurorehabilitation, major trauma, and community neurorehabilitation, and my team were also heavily involved in providing inpatient psychological support for those brought to Salford Royal following the Manchester Arena Attack. I do inpatient and outpatient work, and have research interests in emergency preparedness, major trauma, digitisation of clinical practice, and rare neurological disorders. I did my BSc in Psychology at Liverpool, before doing an MSc in Performance Psychology at Edinburgh. I went on to do my DClinPsy at Manchester, and the PGDip in Neuropsychology at Glasgow, and I have completed the British Psychological Society’s Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology (QiCN).

Over the course of the week I’d like to give you an insight into the day-to-day work of a Neuropsychologist and some of the things we do in our department, discuss how I got in to this line of work, and talk a bit about some current interests and contemporary issues in Neuropsychology.

Please feel free to message me any specific questions, and do please share anything you may want to. I’ll probably also tweet about my dog, coffee, rugby, and mountain bikes.
